RECITAR CANTANDO is an essay-manual on proper Italian diction, beyond regional and current use, thus in line with theory brought forth over the centuries by the greatest writers, and well founded in operatic music, unbiased by subjectivity or transitory fashion.

Written in Japan, where it was published in 2010, it now comes to light in Italy and the rest of the world in which the Italian language, due to linguistic confusion, risks losing the definitiveness of its pronunciation, a grave danger in music performance where many foreign singers currently hold the field.
It orients itself around 113 poetry-based audio-exercises, attempting with this approach to bring to the user the highest standards of Italian opera tradition, in accordance with what Giuseppe Verdi wrote: “You have to remember that while the human voice is surely the best instrument, it is also wedded to poetry, and poetry demands very high ideals.”
